Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standard

IFS

IFS PACsecure Certification

IFS PACsecure is the world’s most comprehensive standard for the quality and safety of packaging materials. This internationally recognized certification integrates quality guidelines such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and focuses on the capability of the supplier to deliver products that comply with the customer’s specifications.

HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) Program

The HACCP program is one of the most trusted safety systems in the food industry. Suppliers of packaging components have an important role to play in ensuring that the highest standards of safety and hygiene are met, especially is cases where printed components come into direct contact with food. HACCP principles are applied to the packaging industry to provide a series of measures aimed at preventing and eliminating hazards.

FSC Chain of Custody Certification is the worlds most recognized and trusted forest certification scheme to protect the world’s forests through responsible sourcing of forest-based products and raw materials.
GMI

GMI Certification

As a global leader in packaging quality services, GMI certifies, monitors and measures the performance of designated packaging suppliers—a process that holds them accountable to established brand owner standards. GMI helps control the variables and ensure brand integrity through printer certification, production run sample measurement and in-store packaging assessments.
UL

UL Authorized Label Supplier Program

Underwriters Laboratories of Canada is an independent certification and inspection organization that tests products to ensure their safety. The organization is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada and the International Accreditation Service, Inc.

The mission of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is to promote safe, benign and sustainable living and working environments through the application of science, safety engineering based on risk analysis and data intelligence.

More specifically, UL supports the production and use of physically and environmentally safe products. Labelink is a participant in UL’s Approved Label Supplier program. Our Granby, Quebec facility participates in UL’s Approved Label Provider Program under file number LP 4002.

Supplier Code of Conduct

Labelink USA and its employees are committed to a standard of excellence in every aspect of our business. We are committed to ethical and responsible conduct in all of our operations.

 

Nondiscrimination Suppliers will not discriminate in hiring and employment practices, including salary, benefits, advancement, discipline, termination or retirement, on the basis of race, religion, nationality, age, sexual orientation, gender, political opinion or disability.
Child Labor Labelink USA suppliers will not use child labor. The term child refers to a person of below the local legal minimum age for employment. Suppliers employing young persons who do not fall within the definition of children will also comply with any laws and regulations applicable to such persons.
Involuntary Labor Suppliers will not engage in any forced or involuntary labor.
Harassment Suppliers agree to treat each employee with respect and dignity, and will not use threats of violence, physical abuse, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse.
Health and Safety Suppliers will provide a safe and healthy, sanitary workplace that is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The workplace should at a minimum provide adequate lighting, ventilation, private facilities for all genders and access to potable water. Where employee housing is provided, these same standards of health and safety are expected.
Association Suppliers will respect the rights of employees to associate, organize and collectively bargain in a peaceful and lawful manner, without interference or penalty.
Compensation Suppliers must recognize that wages are essential to meeting employees’ basic needs. Suppliers will comply with all applicable hour and wage laws and regulations, including those related to minimum wage, overtime, maximum hours and any other forms of compensation, and provide legally mandated benefits. Suppliers will compensate employees for overtime hours worked at a premium rate as legally required or, where no legal premium rate applies, at a rate that is at the minimum equal to the regular hourly compensation rate.
Business Ethics Labelink USA is committed to ethical business practices; fraud, tax evasion, political interest, anti-competitive practices, extortion, money laundering and any other unethical practices will not be tolerated. Suppliers will have a policy in place addressing their commitment to follow all applicable laws and evade bribery, corruption, or any type of fraudulent business practice.
Environmental Suppliers will comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations. We encourage all suppliers to practice sustainable business practices to preserve our natural resources for future generations.
Environmental Policy It is the policy of Labelink USA to conduct its operations in a manner that is environmentally responsible and befitting of a good corporate neighbor and citizen. In accordance with this policy, Labelink USA complies with all environmental laws and manages all phases of its business in a manner that minimizes the impact of its operations on the environment. To further this policy, Labelink USA shall:

  • Comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations and voluntary commitments to which the facility subscribes. Eliminate, or reduce to the maximum practical extent, the release of contaminants into the environment, first through pollution prevention (material substitution and source reduction), recycling, and control technologies.
  • We will continuously improve the environmental performance of our operations, and consider the long term cost and benefit when making decisions about investment. We will share information on our environmental performance with the community upon request.
  • Periodically review and demonstrate continuous improvement in the facility’s environmental performance, including areas not subject to regulations.
Other Laws Suppliers will comply with all other applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the manufacturing, pricing, sale and distribution of their products. References to applicable ‘laws and regulations’ contained in this Code of Conduct refer to national and local rules, regulations and codes, as well as any voluntary industry standards.
