Customer issue: Customer was using a paperboard carrier but the product inside was shifting around which caused ink scuffing on the product labels that were inside the carton.
What Labelink did:
- Reviewed the actual cans that were being held inside the carrier
- Utilized our 3D software to determine how to distort the artwork to look flawless around the cans even after shrinking
- Designed a multi-pack shrink solution to fit multiple can sizes
Result:
- Reduced movement of the product due to the snug fit of the shrink sleeve
- Eliminated the ink scuffing on the can labels
- Lowered the material cost due to less scrap from the scuffing and the shrink sleeve was less expensive than the carrier
