Press Release
October 4, 2010 — Less than one year after purchasing the HP ws4500 Indigo Digital printer, Labelink entered the prestigious Gold Ink Awards.
Touted as the ‘most prestigious’ award in the Print Industry, Labelink won the Bronze in the category of Digital Labels and Flexible Packaging. The competition is open to all creators and producers of printed material which covers categories such as Books, Magazines, Digital Printing, Commercial Printing, Catalogs, and Packaging. Nearly 50 categories are covered in four days during the event.
Labelink’s submission was based on a Cosmetic label showing Graphics of a Cherry Tree in full bloom. The material used was a clear poly supplied by Raflatac, a UPM company because Labelink wanted to show their abilities in achieving a highly opaque white behind the rich cherry graphics. To get this effect, Labelink’s Art Department prepared the artwork with 3 hits of HP IndiChrome white to add eye appeal to the blossoming cherries.
Awards were handed out at the Gala on October 4th, 2010.
